Greetings - I have a Studio One 5 Pro DAW with Studio 26c Interface and ACER desktop computer. I have a Yamaha P125 keyboard that can be used as a midi controller. I asked Yamaha tech support for advice and they said to download and install the Steinberg USB which I did and the P125 would be recognized as a midi device. . Neither the Steinberg nor Studio One recognizes my P125 as a midi device. Any ideas?
Here is a copy of the email from Yamaha:
Being the P125 doesn't have the 5pin DIN MIDI connectors, going into the Studio 26c interface is probably the least convenient way to connect to your computer/Studio One 5 software.
I might suggest downloading and installing the Steinberg USB, found here:
Once this is done, Studio One should see the P125 as a MIDI device. Once this is done, the P125 should be ready to transmit MIDI data (Note On/Off, Velocity, etc) via USB [To Host] port to your computer and Studio One.
